Hellboy on summer vacation!!

I cannot imagine a story where Hellboy would be on vacation and not find something crazy to fight, not a good story anyways. hah.

A Ghost piece I worked up to go along with the sequential samples. Probably not the most exciting piece, but it describes the character accurately. hah.

Demon concept I developed for the Ghost sample pgs I worked on a while ago. I colored it recently in CS. I want to do some more of these types of character designs, this was fun!

I'm doing some pages with this character and this was my second attempt at capturing the character's look.

Blue Line is sponsoring a Sketch Card Gallery Exhibit on March 8, 2008 at Comics2Games in Florence, Kentucky. This show is open to all artists. Blue Line will send sketch cards for the artist to do their illustrations and Comics2Games will set up the display for the event. The Exhibit will be up all day with a get-together with some of the artists from 5 to 8pm that evening. Then, after the show, the cards will be auctioned on eBay with the proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society.

Lone wolf and cub!!

This was a fun one for me. I'm opening up my style a little bit and cutting back on the cross hatching.

I took the sketch and light boxed it and added the rest on the page.

The cub could use some more work.

I finally finished putting ink on this little shot of Punisher and Snakes Eyes. I have some ideas to do a fun little team up story with them maybe 3 pgs.

Lone Wolf and Cub

I took this sketch and fleshed it out a little with water colors. I inked it with a brush to get a looser look more like the books. I added the zipatones by hand, because that's been kind of fun lately.

here's a page I did for a fight scene idea. I was thinking about video games and how a special "power" move might be visualized. I wanted the action to be clear and easy to follow.

I was pretty happy with the way this Typhoid Mary sketch turned out. I actually added zip-a-tones to her belt buckle and the and buckles on her jacket. You can not see it in the scan but the original is that much cooler! ha.

Here's a batman as santa sketch that I'm going to use for my christmas card this year. I added some zipatones to the BG and smoke to make Batman pop a little more. also, beefed up the reds and blues
